Accommodation - University of Leeds

Interested in becoming a sub-warden?

Sub-wardens are full time students of the University of Leeds who, under the direction of the Wardens, are responsible for maintaining discipline and offering pastoral care for other students in their residence.

They provide a responsible presence and help to create a positive living environment by protecting the students' right to sleep, study and be safe in their accommodation.

Students can speak to their sub-warden on any issues affecting their wellbeing, whether that be homesickness, a noisy neighbour, a falling-out with their flatmates, or any other concerns they might have. There's a sub-warden on duty every weekday evening and over the weekends, meaning that there's always someone students in residence can call on for support or advice.
