Christmas lights

Remember that electrical decorations are not permitted in University accommodation.

We're happy for you to celebrate your festive season, but electrical decorations (including electric fairy lights) are not allowed because of the fire risk they pose. Using them is a breach of your contractual terms and conditions.

LED lights and battery powered fairy lights are OK, but residence staff reserve the right to ask you to remove them if they think they are unsafe.

We'll also tell you if we think your decorations are causing an obstruction. Make sure they are not blocking any doorways or fire exits.

We don't want to spoil your fun but we need to make sure that our accommodation is safe for everyone.
