Key collection

Once you've paid your deposit and accepted your residence contract online, you can book a slot to move in.

Please make sure that you arrive during your booked timeslot. This will enable us to run our staggered and contactless arrivals process, and ensure that social distancing can be maintained by limiting the number of students arriving at any one time.  

Once you have arrived at your residence please ensure that you are parked in a designated parking area. You will then be directed to the arrival marquee or common room to collect your keys and check in. Please remember to wear a face covering in all public areas inside of your residence whilst moving in.  

You will then have your booking barcode scanned – this will have been emailed to you after you accepted your accommodation contract. Once you have collected your keys, please unload your vehicle as quickly as possible and you can start to bring your belongings to your room.  

To ensure appropriate social distancing, only one friend or family member is allowed to help you move your belongings, and they can only bring them to just outside of your flat. They are not allowed to enter the flat or your room.  

If you are arriving when your Residence Office will be closed, please email Accommodation at least 2 working days in advance so that we can advise you of where to collect your keys.

If you are a current resident and require urgent assistance when the Residence Office is closed, please contact your duty Residence Life Assistant or security team.

University security are also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 0113 343 5494/5 (non-emergency) or 0113 343 2222 (emergencies ONLY).
