What's coming up with Residence Life

Happy New Year! We’re looking ahead to the new semester to bring you some more great events and activities.

Special thanks to those of you who gave feedback and suggestions last semester, we’ve taken these on board and incorporated them into our planning. 

Vision Board Crafting (Drop-In) – Friday 28 January: 10am – 1pm  

As part of the Fresh Start Festival we’re running a vision board crafting session in the marquee outside LUU. A vision board is a goal-manifesting collage, which helps transform your goals and dreams into actions. We’ll provide all the materials, you just need to bring yourself and some friends. No need to sign up, you can come along and drop-in on the day for as long as you would like.  

New Year Crafternoon – Monday 31 January: 2pm – 5.30pm 

Join our next drop-in Crafternoon session in LUU Room 5 themed around Lunar New Year and the Queen’s Jubilee. We’re providing all the materials, tutorials and snacks so you can just show up and craft. Sign up on the accommodation portal to secure your place. 

Well Wood Volunteering – Every Wednesday from 12:30 – 16:00, starting 2 February  

Sign up to volunteer for the Well Wood Project, located behind James Baillie and North Hill Court. The volunteering work will involve clearing the land and creating areas such as growing spaces, seating areas and pathways. The work will be supervised and aided by a fully-trained groundworks crew and all necessary safety equipment such as tools and work gloves will be provided, but you should come wearing your own strong boots and waterproof clothing.
