Spring Photography Competition
We're officially launching this year's ResLife Spring photography competition!
Once again, we’re giving you the opportunity to flex your creative skills and show us your perspective of the world around you.
This year’s theme is “The Magic of Spring”, and we want you to capture the excitement of the world awakening.
We’ve run this competition in the past and have got lots of amazing entries, some of which are featured in this blog. If you take a snap this spring that you think is worth sharing, enter your photos by sending them to residencelife@leeds.ac.uk with the subject line #ResLifePhotoComp before 5pm on 26 April.
Prizes include:
- 1st place – A chocolate hamper & the winning photo displayed in Charles Morris Hall
- 2nd place – Tony’s Chocolonely Rainbow Pack
- 3rd place – Tony’s Chocolate Bar
We will send all of the submitted images over to our esteemed judge, Mike Anderson, for consideration.
I have been teaching photography at Leeds for just over 10 years now, but I have been taking photographs for most of my life. A significant amount of my commissioned photographic work is in fashion and portraiture, and outside of this I undertake documentary projects of social interest (and even the occasional wedding!) Despite looking at and assessing hundreds of photographs I still get very excited when seeing new and exciting images.
Once we have the results, we will email the winners and showcase their work on our Instagram.
Good luck, we are so excited to see your work. Happy snapping!
