Great Food at Leeds (GFaL)  

Welcome to Great Food at Leeds, the University’s catering service which offers high quality, fresh food and drink at competitive prices. Whether you’re looking for a coffee to takeaway, sandwich on the move or fancy sitting down to a hot, nutritious meal, you’ll find what you are looking for in of our many cafés across campus or in our award-winning Refectory. 

Living in a catered residence  

If you live in Dobree or Whetton blocks of Charles Morris, Ellerslie Global Residence or Lyddon Hall then you are in a catered residence and have meals provided for you as part of your rent. 

To access your Meal Plan package, download the GFaL Rewards app from the App Store or Google Play. Sign up using your name and University email address, this is linked to your Meal Plan account, and verify your account with the six digit code sent to your email. Scan your in-app QR code at the till when making a purchase to use your credit. 

How your meal plan works 

For students living at Charles Morris Hall (Dobree & Whetton), Ellerslie Global Residence, Lyddon Hall, your meal plan is topped up daily, during term time with credit that can be spent in the Refectory and at Hugo, the camionnette café. It is important to note that unused credit will not be carried over to the following day.  
 
Weekdays -  8am – 6.30pm: £15.40 per day  
Weekends –10am – 2pm: £8.50 per day  
 
You can use your Meal Plan credit during the following dates:  
Term 1: Saturday 21 September to Friday 13 December 2024  
Term 2: Saturday 11 January to Friday 28 March 2025  
Term 3: Saturday 26 April to Friday 20 June 2025

The Refectory 

The Refectory is located in the heart of the University campus. It offers a wide range of hot and cold food, inspired from across the world with everything from breakfast (available from 8 – 11am), freshly made to order wok noodles and salads, vegan and vegetarian options to delicious pizzas and wraps.  
 
Opening Times  
Monday to Friday: 08:00am – 6.30pm  
Saturday and Sunday: 10:00am – 2:00pm 

Hugo

Hugo is a unique member of the GFaL team, an original Citroen H Van, selling a range of delicious products including coffees and sweet treats. It is conveniently located on the main University precinct, so you can easily grab some breakfast on your way to lectures or a coffee on the go.

Monday to Friday: 08:00am – 4:00pm
