Summer accommodation

If you need to stay in University accommodation beyond your contract end date, you can apply for summer accommodation.

We will have limited summer accommodation available at Lupton Residences. All of our other residences will close for the summer once contracts end.

Lupton residences is located in Headingley, about a 30 minute walk from University. Rooms are single occupancy with a single bed, sharing a kitchen and bathroom between 5 students. Rental fees at Lupton are £17.36 per room, per night.

All accommodation is self-catered, which requires you to provide your own cooking utensils and dining items, food and drink, as well as your own bedding, towels and toiletries. The rent includes internet access, energy costs and contents insurance. The Edge Gym membership is not included.

We try to allocate flats as single-gender and we cannot normally accommodate specific dietary requirements or quiet flat requests. We do not have any en-suite summer accommodation.

Summer accommodation is available until Friday 4 September 2026 only.  If you have accepted a university accommodation contract beginning September 2026, we will be able to house you during the interim period until your new contract starts.

If you do not already live in university accommodation, we cannot accommodate you before 10th July 2026. Availability is limited and priority will be given to those already living in University accommodation. The minimum contract period is 21 nights.

Priority is given to students currently living in University of Leeds accommodation. If you are not currently living in our accommodation we have limited availability, we recommend seeking accommodation with a private provider, as we cannot guarantee we will be able to assist.

Please note, we are unable to offer accommodation to students who have not paid their term-time rent in full.
